I don’t believe that I have reviewed a Valentia product that has lacked for well-deserved praise. They keep to their standards and it really shows with the consistency of their brand, packaging, and quality of products across the board.
They have new serums out and here is a review on one of them:
Product description via Amazon:
“It provides needed hydration, renews skin texture, and reveals a brighter more radiant complexion.
MINIMIZES FINE LINES: Lactic Acid, a natural AHA, plumps fine lines, increases skin’s natural thickness, for healthier renewed looking skin.
BRIGHTENS & CORRECTS: Gotu Kola and Licorice work together in unison to lessen the appearance of acne scarring, lighten unwanted pigmentation, and correct skin discoloration.
INCREASES OXYGEN CIRCULATION: Wakame Bioferment, a powerful seaweed, increases skin oxygen consumption to detoxify and boost antioxidant defense, for a smoother more alive looking complexion.”
As per their usual, this serum comes in an amber bottle. It has a white serum pump top instead of the black top that was in their True Glow Eye Cream, both classy, but I think the white works much better.
I don’t know what it is about me and these serum-type tops, but I end up squirting it across my hand and off into the distance almost every other time – I think I’m just holding the bottle at the wrong angle to my hand/finger or something. It comes out in the same texture and consistency as the eye serum, lightweight, but is almost white in color.
Even though it’s lightweight, according to the directions, it’s a nighttime serum: one to two pumps in the evening after cleansing, followed by a moisturizer. The scent of it is really similar to their eye serum, that lovely citrusy fragrance, it probably uses some of the same ingredients. The first ingredient listed in this serum is an orange hydrosol, which makes sense.
I want to equate the feel of this serum on the face to a welcoming splash of cool water on a hot day – it’s very soothing and hydrating. It didn’t leave any irritation or discomfort, no tingling or burning, just a sweet citrusy scent and a refreshed face. I did follow up with a moisturizer and their eye serum.
If you haven’t tried any of their products yet, I’d recommend them!
