For those of you who have under-eye dark circles, don’t you wish you could just get an eraser to remove them completely and permanently? They’re so annoying and it’s so frustrating trying to find products that will lighten them or cover them up or both. It’s been a never-ending search to find the perfect under-eye dark circle remover product!
I recently tried this one – Vaadi Herbals Under Eye Cream with Almond Oil and Cucumber Extract.
Description from the box:
“Lightens dark skin under the eyes – Prevents & fades fine lines & wrinkles – Reduces puffiness – Nourishes & smooths delicate skin.
The age-old goodness of Cucumber, Almonds & Pink Rose, works from within to lighten the dark skin (circles) under the eyes, and to reduce puffiness. Their anti-oxidant content smoothes wrinkles around your eyes. The regular use of the super-rich formula keeps your eyes and its surrounding skin looking young & fresh.
Cucumber: Reduces puffy eyes. Lightens & refreshes under-eye skin.
Almond: Nourishes & lightens skin. Reduces wrinkling around eyes.
Pink Rose: Rejuvenates & moisturizes skin around eyes.”
The box has a list of the active ingredients, but does not list the full ingredients, and the full list is also not on Amazon. So I have no idea what else is in this product.
The packaging is pretty and it comes in a box that is not the traditional square or rectangle. The jar itself didn’t come sealed or with an inner seal lining. It’s a plastic jar and is pretty small, only 30 grams of product. But as this is an eye cream, you really only need a very small amount per application.
The texture is like a cream lotion, and it has that heavy scent of traditional lotions – very strong, and I don’t care for it, personally. It’s a thick cream, so like I mentioned before, you only need a very small amount – just barely touch your fingertip to the product. I dabbed this under each of my eyes until the product absorbed, I didn’t rub it in or smooth it in, just used light dabbing motions with my fingertips. It takes a little longer this way, but at least it doesn’t do more damage than has already been done to that delicate area. I noticed, right off that the area does lighten and become brighter. It seems temporary though, as with a little less than three weeks of use, the actual color of my undereye when not using this product hasn’t improved. I also have noticed that when I do use this product, it tends to stay kind of greasy in that area and it leeches onto my eyelashes and eventually into my eyes and on my contacts… major annoyance since it makes my contacts blurry and I have to continuously rinse them off.
I’m kind of on the fence about this product, I like the price point and that it works to lighten and brighten (even though it’s temporary, only when using it), but I don’t like the way it leeches into my eyes and onto my contacts (and I also don’t care for the smell of it).
