The Ultimate Makeup Removal Wipes by RMS Beauty. The packaging of these individual wipes is pretty neat, depending on how the light hits it, it says “beauty” or “rms”. It’s a classic foil silver package with white lettering, except for the “rms”. I’m not sure how the outer packaging would look when purchased, as part of a promotion, I received three of these wipes, as shown above.

I believe I’ve mentioned it posts before, but I’m a coconut oil lover – for the very properties and benefits they mentioned in the product description – anti-fungal, antibacterial, and healthier/natural alternative to cleansers – plus it really does kick butt in cleaning off makeup. When I’m not doing product reviews, my go to facial cleanser is raw organic extra virgin coconut oil and raw organic honey. The fact that this makeup remover wipe is made with certified organic coconut oil is a big plus for me. It even smells like real coconut – raw coconut meat – and not like suntan lotion (which I can’t stand). Because it’s an oil, it does feel oily, but it’s tampered down by the cloth that contains it, so it’s not as full-bodied-oily as a scoop of coconut oil would be.
The cloth itself is made from 100% natural rayon – though I question the “natural” part of that slightly because the process to make rayon is usually from regenerated fibers produced from plants or bamboo, but in being “regenerated” it is not considered to be natural. (There’s an article here on it.) However, I’m just speculating, and would need clarification as to their sources and processes of “natural rayon”.
The cloth is a little softer than one of those hand wipe cloths, but not by much. Even so it does its job well for removing makeup. It’s even quicker, since there is no water or suds involved.
One wipe took care of my entire face and neck.
The full box is a 20 count and averages to about $0.80 per wipe (going with the current price). So say you use 1-2 per day, 2 boxes a month, then that’s about $32 a month. Whether that’s economical really depends on your individual needs in comparison to the cost of your current makeup removal process. However, if you’re looking for a quicker, more natural approach, then you might consider these as an alternative or addition.
