I’m impressed with the visual appeal. Valentia True Glow Eye Cream is a really lovely product from packaging to product, to branding and to the people behind the brand.
This “intense corrective eye treatment” comes in a white box with gold trim and black lettering — it is simple, yet effective and plays along with the brands’ tagline – “Everyday Luxury”. The product itself is contained within an 1.18 fl oz (35 mL) amber glass bottle with a plastic serum pump-type top and labeled with the same elegant white w/gold trim and black lettering.
Product description: “An illuminating antioxidant rich eye cream that helps lock in moisture, repair and tighten skin for a youthful looking glow around the eye area. This Corrective Eye Treatment Will:

In using the product, I found that the pump propels the serum out rather forcefully at times. You have to find just the right angle to hold the opening to your finger or hand so that it’s more controlled and doesn’t end up on your clothes or furniture. The serum is not watery or too thick, just the right consistency that you would want it to be to apply to the delicate skin under your eyes. It’s a light orange or peachy color (makes me think orange creamsicle) which goes well with the citrusy scent. The scent kind of reminds me of lemongrass and neroli and/or citronella essential oils, it also makes me think of henna – maybe the scent of some of the oils used with henna. It’s a pleasant aroma and not too heady.
When applying, it glides on smoothly and lightly, and feels refreshing. A thing to note, with eye creams or anything you put on the skin under your eyes you want to be very gentle to not pull, rub, or apply too much pressure as you can damage or bruise the underlying blood vessels and capillaries. Generally, you want to do a light patting or soft palpating motion or glide the product along without any disturbance to the skin.
I’ve been using it for about a week and a half now before bed and after I shower in the morning, as the only product applied under the eyes (excluding makeup), but that time has also been hectic and stressful with finals and school and lack of adequate sleep, so the product hasn’t made any improvements to my dark circles or fine under-eye lines. However, it may be slowly softening the texture and suppleness of the skin there, so I plan on finishing the entire bottle.
So far, I love the product and hope that given time, it’ll help to really improve the skin under my eyes so that I don’t continue to look like I need to sleep for 200 years.
