Recently, I came across Regal Appeal and was delighted to find out that I could get a complimentary set of their Premium Tea Infusers in exchange for a review. I jumped on the chance – one can never have too many loose tea strainers! Plus, I love loose tea and it’s the perfect season for it – not that any other season wouldn’t be, because, I mean, tea time is any time!
The customer service at Regal Appeal, was very helpful and courteous and the set was sent to me quickly via Amazon.
According to the product description, these are easy to clean, 100% dishwasher-friendly, and made with FDA approved stainless steel.
They were packaged neatly in a box that just fit all four, each separately put into individual bags, there was also a little sticker, and a nice card that had some instructions on it.
These Royal Appeal infusers are similar to other tea infuser balls out there, but they’re bulkier, so they can hold more loose tea. They have a chain and hook that makes it easy to attach to the rim of the cup, which in turn makes it easier to lift up and remove. The holes are spaced out nicely and aren’t too big that the larger pieces of tea come out –you’ll still have the typical small bits and pieces float out from it, but then that gives you a chance to tell your fortune… if you’re into divining by tea leaves (tasseography).
The only con that I found was when trying to pop them open, I struggled with two of them. One of them was really stuck/jammed together and took me some time before I got it open. Some water with dish soap squeezed into the inside, then dried on the outside and a little hard elbow grease did the trick though, and just in time as I was about to ask my husband if he could open it for me. I wouldn’t recommend snapping them closed too tightly, and using a twisting motion seems to help when trying to open.
I would also recommend to the manufacturer/packer to ship them open so that there’s less of a chance of impaction while packing and/or shipping.
Having more than one tea strainer/infuser on hand is convenient, especially if you’re lazy, like I am right before bed, and don’t want to wash the one you used in the morning.
All in all, these are made well and do the job they are meant to do! If you want to get a set of your own, they’re available through Amazon, at this link for $14.99 USD (free shipping w/Prime). I also spotted that they have a discount code available, buy one and get 25% off the 2nd at checkout using the code: 75AAG9PF
Have a Happy Tea Time!
