Sophia Patel just posted about this today on her blog and figured I’d take the challenge. Do I procrastinate – in general, yep, sure do, not as much as I used to (maybe I’m in denial though, haha), but I still do. Now do I procrastinate when it comes to beauty? We shall see…
1. Name a beauty regimen that you rarely do?
Though not really a beauty regimen in that it’s something that I, personally, should do on a regular basis at home… but I rarely get my haircut and/or professionally styled and rarely dye my hair – got some grays/whites going on. I think it comes from the fact that my hair is thinning and getting finer as I get older so I’m more self-conscious about it and going to a hair dresser will make me feel even more so because they’re looking right down at the top of my head. I really should go though.
2. Is washing your make-up brushes something that you do regularly?
I do a thorough clean of them weekly, and usually try to clean them with a makeup remover wipe daily or every other day. Though to be honest, I haven’t the past few days since my week was one of those doozies (spl?) — will do a thorough clean of them tonight though.
3. How long will you last with chipped nail polish?
I can only wear nail polish Friday (or late Thurs night) through Sunday night, as I can’t wear it while in school Mon-Thurs. So unless I chip them during those off times, not very long at all!
4. How long will you put off buying/replacing a beauty product, even if you need it?
Lately, I can’t help myself. I try to steer away from an online cart once I’ve filled it, but 8 out of 10 times I go back to it and checkout within a couple of days. Sometimes I hope that the cart clears or the sales end before I go back, that way it saves me from ordering.
5. What is your worst beauty habit?
Going to bed before cleaning my makeup off. Some nights I feel just too lazy to do it. So so bad to do because then I wake up looking like a raccoon and my face is dryer and breaks out. Also put off as long as possible – epilating my upper lip, hate doing it, but don’t want to have an unladylike peach-fuzz mustache.
6. Name something non-beauty related that you put off doing all the time?
Studying, and my homework. It gets to the point when it’s last minute. Luckily, it hasn’t bit me too hard on the butt yet. Don’t like putting my clothes away or hanging them up either; the couch downstairs becomes the couch dresser.
7. When going out somewhere, do you leave getting ready to the last minute?
I usually try to give myself enough time, but enough time sometimes is not enough.
8. Can you commit to spending bans?
Not for a lack of trying! I’m so weak! Someone take my credit card away!
9. How organized are your make-up and nail polish collections?
It’s all in mostly in one place, and in organizers… does that count? Not that they are organized within the organizers. What? You mean the organizers don’t do it for you? Haha. I need more organizers then I can really get it nice and tidy (for a time).
So there you have it. More beauty procrastinated than I thought. How about you? Dare to see how much of a beauty procrastinator you are?
