Gratitude

841da0895e50870737999bc4d0dd402dThis week has been long and yet seems like it flew by at the same time. Since I missed class on Thursday, I had to make up tests on Monday, and didn’t get the assignments for this week until Monday as well… that all put me behind on all of my work this week. We had a total of 8 tests today, yeah EIGHT! I was definitely not ready. Managed to ace 5 of them (Medical Terminology, MT spelling, RMA Review x2, Medical Assistants A&P) ; for the 6th (Phlebotomy) I missed 2 – which came out to be around 91% – a B according to this grade scale, but there are some open-ended questions that get manually graded so not sure what my final grade will be on that test; then for the last 2 tests (Pharmacology), they are take home test with open book – you’d think those will be a piece of cake, but it’s always open book for this subject  and it’s always hard, this week is no different and there’s 2 to worry about. However, trying to look on the bright side and get back to being aligned with the Universe, I’m taking time right now to find my Gratitude. What’s that mean? I’m going to spend the next 10 minutes typing out as many things as possible that I’m grateful/thankful for.  Since Thanksgiving is just a week away, this is probably as good a time as any to start!gratitude

I’m grateful/thankful…

  • for being able to go back to school to learn a new trade
  • for my husband and son
  • for my family and friends
  • for the support I have received from my family and friends
  • for new friends, old friends, friends I have yet to discover
  • that I have money in the bank
  • that I have a roof over my head
  • that I have a car and it runs well
  • for my good grades
  • for having reached my goals for quarters 1 and 2
  • for this blog
  • for my growing list of followers 🙂
  • for my hair, even the gray ones
  • for makeup (of course!)
  • that I am loved and that I can love others
  • for my sense of humor, even if not a lot of people get it, hehe
  • for my health
  • for food! Gosh, I love food!
  • for days off, weekends especially
  • for social networking to connect me to the world
  • for the days that are neither too hot nor too cold
  • for hot cocoa and iced coffee
  • for ice cream and pepsi
  • for my warm cozy bed and cold pillow
  • for my new phone
  • for kindness, helpfulness, and respect from othersgratitude-into-your-attitude
  • for inspiration and creativity
  • for art
  • for holidays
  • for good times and good laughs
  • for happy tears
  • for good movies and tv series
  • for my mind
  • for electricity
  • for the internet
  • for air conditioning and heaters
  • for electronics
  • for challenges to keep me on my toes
  • for oceans
  • for wind and rain and thunderstorms
  • that there are things to look forward to
  • that there are things to reflect back upon
  • for the little things
  • for the big things
  • for things that make me smile
  • for good hair days
  • for great makeup days
  • for mail, especially awesome unexpected mail
  • for gifts and surprises
  • for comfort foods and items
  • and I’m sure there are many more…

    • I hope you do! I used to do this on a regular basis, and it’s amazing how thinking on the positive can actually attract more positives, like a domino effect. Planning on picking this habit back up! 🙂
